What is World Skate?
World Skate is the IOC-recognized international federation for skateboarding and roller sports — descended from the roller-sports federation founded in 1924, headquartered in Lausanne — and the body that runs skateboarding's Olympic pathway.[1]
What does it govern?
The World Skateboarding Tour and its World Championships; the LA28 qualification system and its rankings (including a new minimum contest-entry age); plus roller sports — inline speed, artistic, roller hockey and downhill — through national federations worldwide.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Olympic berths, world rankings and sanctioned world titles in skateboarding all run through World Skate — the sport's federation record beside its independent contest culture.[1] [2]
