What is World Skate Results & Rankings?

The official results and rankings system of World Skate, the IOC-recognised federation for skateboarding and roller sports, formed in 2017 from the merger of the roller-sports and skateboarding federations.[1] [2]

What does it cover?

More than a dozen disciplines under one roof: skateboarding street and park, inline speed, artistic skating in its several forms, inline slalom and freestyle, downhill, inline hockey, rink hockey, roller derby, scootering and skate cross — plus the World Skate Games archives back to Nanjing 2017.[1] [3]

Why does it matter?

Because the World Skateboarding Ranking is the leaderboard the Olympic pathway runs on: points accumulate over a rolling eighteen months across World Cups and the annual World Championships, and — a change worth knowing — the ranking is no longer reset to zero after each Olympic Games, so points now carry into the LA28 cycle.[3]
