What is World Obstacle?
World Obstacle — formally FISO, the Fédération Internationale de Sports d'Obstacles — is the international federation for obstacle sports, running OCR and ninja world championships, continental events and age-group competition, and pursuing IOC recognition for the discipline.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
It is the closest thing obstacle racing has to a governing federation — and its case grew stronger when the obstacle discipline was written into modern pentathlon for LA28, putting obstacle competition on the Olympic program by another door.[2] [3]
