What is the ISMF?
The International Ski Mountaineering Federation is skimo's world governing body — founded in 2007, with 56 member associations across four continents, IOC-recognized since 2016, and the body that carried the sport onto the Olympic program for Milano Cortina 2026.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
ISMF rankings, world titles and Olympic qualification are skimo's official record — a young federation whose Olympic breakthrough came within twenty years of its founding.[2] [3]
