What is FEVEBEISBOL?
The Federación Venezolana de Béisbol (FEVEBEISBOL) is the national federation for baseball in Venezuela. Its own description reads: “La Federación Venezolana de Beisbol, también conocida como FEVEBEISBOL, es el ente rector de las competiciones de beisbol de Venezuela” — the governing body of the country’s baseball competitions.[1] The World Baseball Softball Confederation refers to it in English as the Venezuelan Baseball Federation.[5]
The federation frames its purpose around the national team. Its stated mission is “Ser una organización deportiva capaz de gestionar eficientemente la marca selección venezolana de béisbol en todas sus categorías” — to manage the brand of the Venezuelan national baseball selection, in all its categories, efficiently — and its stated vision is “Ser la selección número 1 en el ranking mundial de forma sostenida”.[1] Its national teams play under the name Team Beisbol Venezuela.[7] The Comité Olímpico Venezolano lists it among the country’s national federations, with Aracelis León as president.[4]
What does FEVEBEISBOL govern or do?
FEVEBEISBOL organises baseball below the professional level across age groups and formats. Its championships menu runs from Pre-Béisbol (under 4) and Iniciación (under 6) through the Infantil and Juvenil categories (under 10 to under 18) to Senior, Máster (40 and over), Súper Máster (50 and over) and Magíster (60 and over), with women’s categories and Baseball5 for adults and under-18s.[2] It operates an online player-registration system (sistema de fichajes).[2]
A WBSC report on a FEVEBEISBOL support campaign describes the federation keeping registries of coaches, umpires and official scorers and running a development programme called “Sembrando Beisbol”.[5] Its executive committee includes a technical vice-president beside the president, executive and organisational vice-presidents, a general secretary, a treasurer and three directors.[3]
The professional game is a separate organisation. The Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional (LVBP) lists eight clubs, from the Águilas del Zulia to the Tigres de Aragua, and its site links, under the label Serie del Caribe, to the Confederación de Béisbol Profesional del Caribe, which stages the Caribbean Series.[10]
When was FEVEBEISBOL founded and where is it based?
The federation states: “Fue fundada el 12 de agosto de 1952 y su sede central se encuentra en la ciudad de Caracas.”[1] The founding date is the federation’s own account; its affiliation to the world and continental bodies is a separate matter, set out below.
The address it publishes is Avenida Urdaneta, Ánimas a Platanal, edificio “Las Marías”, piso 4, oficina 401, in La Candelaria, Caracas, Distrito Capital; the same address appears on its 2026 media-guide page.[2][7] The COV directory gives a Caracas telephone number for the federation (+58 212-5645782) and its social-media handle, @fevebeisbol.[4]
The executive committee listed in October 2026 is headed by Aracelis León as president, with Ángel Delgado as technical vice-president, Juan Mártinez as executive vice-president, Yazeida Peraza as organisational vice-president, Evelin Pineda as general secretary and Oscar Eduardo Izaguirre as treasurer.[3]
How is FEVEBEISBOL recognised?
World body. The WBSC states that it has 191 national federations (183 full and 8 provisional members) and 14 associate members in 136 countries and territories.[6] WBSC news identifies FEVEBEISBOL as the Venezuelan Baseball Federation,[5] and the federation’s home page links to a Venezuelan page on the WBSC’s ven.wbsc.org domain.[2] Its under-15 national team took part in the WBSC’s VII U-15 Baseball World Cup in 2026.[8]
Continental body. The federation’s site carries a link to WBSC Americas, the confederation for the Americas.[2]
Olympic movement. The Comité Olímpico Venezolano includes the Federación Venezolana de Béisbol in its directory of national federations, and the federation’s home page links to the COV.[4][2]
What does FEVEBEISBOL organise?
National championships. FEVEBEISBOL stages national championships category by category. On 3 October 2026 it reported the opening of the Nacional Sub8 in Bolívar state and the first games of the XVII Campeonato Nacional Super Master for players aged 50 and over, played in Valle de la Pascua with eight state teams — Lara, Miranda, Guárico, Caracas, Bolívar, Aragua, Anzoátegui and Carabobo.[2][9]
National teams. The federation fields Team Beisbol Venezuela in international competition and published 2026 media guides for the U-15 World Cup, the women’s World Cup and the national team at the 2026 World Baseball Classic.[7] At the WBSC’s VII U-15 Baseball World Cup the federation reported that its team won all its placement-round games and finished seventh.[8]
What it does not run. The professional league belongs to the LVBP and its eight clubs, whose site reports news of its 2026–2027 season.[10]
Who are its members?
The federation lists 24 state baseball associations, one for each of Amazonas, Anzoátegui, Apure, Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Carabobo, Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Distrito Capital, Falcón, Guárico, La Guaira, Lara, Mérida, Miranda, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa, Sucre, Táchira, Trujillo, Yaracuy and Zulia.[2]
It groups the states into four zones: Zona I (Andes-Occidente: Apure, Barinas, Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo, Zulia), Zona II (Centro-Occidente: Carabobo, Cojedes, Falcón, Lara, Portuguesa, Yaracuy), Zona III (Centro: Aragua, Distrito Capital, Guárico, La Guaira, Miranda) and Zona IV (Oriente: Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Sucre).[2] State teams are the units that meet in its national championships, as in the eight-state Super Master tournament of October 2026.[9] Players are registered through the federation’s online fichaje system.[2]
