What is the FIP?

The Federation of International Polo is the sport's international federation — founded in 1982, IOC-recognized, uniting national associations across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.[1]

What does it do?

It stages the World Polo Championship — deliberately played at 14-goal level so that national teams, not patron-funded high-goal sides, decide the world title — plus continental championships and ambassadors' cups, and represents polo within the Olympic movement (the sport was Olympic five times, last in 1936).[1] [2]
