What is FEDENACICH?

The Federación Deportiva Nacional de Ciclismo de Chile, which uses the abbreviation FEDENACICH, is the national federation for cycling in Chile.[3] It gives its mission as “Promover el desarrollo deportivo, formativo, social y cultural del ciclismo nacional” — to promote the sporting, educational, social and cultural development of cycling in Chile — and lists solidarity, respect and perseverance among its values.[4] Its site states that it reports news, results, competitions, events, national selections and activities.[3]

What does FEDENACICH govern or do?

The federation covers track, mountain bike (XCO, XCM, downhill and enduro), road, BMX freestyle and racing, cyclo-cross and paracycling.[3] It issues the Licencia UCI 2026, which it says is governed by the “normativa de la Unión Ciclista Internacional (UCI)”, assigns each holder a unique UCI ID, and enables riders, coaches, mechanics and judges as federated members; it states that a valid UCI licence is required to compete in international events.[6] Transfers between clubs fall under its Reglamento de Pases y Recesos.[6] Its news of 1–5 October 2026 reported Chilean teams at the Vuelta Internacional Femenina Costa Rica and the 2026 Pan American Masters track and road championships in Tarija, Bolivia.[7]

When was FEDENACICH founded and where is it based?

The federation gives its address as Ramón Cruz Montt #1176, Oficina 502, Ñuñoa, Santiago, within the Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico.[3] The member list of the Confederación Panamericana de Ciclismo gives the same office, “Ramon Cruz 1176, Oficina 502. Piso 5. Ñuñoa. Santiago.”[2] Its directorio lists Jorge Espinoza as president, Marco Borie as vice-president, Alejandro Haupt as general secretary and Pablo Olivares as treasurer, with three further directors.[5]

How is FEDENACICH recognised?

Continental body. The Confederación Panamericana de Ciclismo lists Chile in its South Zone, giving the website fdnciclismochile.cl and the Ñuñoa office address, with Marco Borie Guzmán named as president.[2] The federation’s own directorio lists Marco Borie as vice-president.[5]

International federation. The Union Cycliste Internationale states that it represents “the interests of 197 National Federations, five Continental Confederations”.[1] The Confederación Panamericana de Ciclismo describes itself as “an autonomous body comprising National Federations or Associations from the American continent, which are UCI members”.[8] FEDENACICH issues licences under UCI rules, each carrying a UCI ID.[6]

What does FEDENACICH organise?

According to its licence page, the 2026 licence is required for FEDENACICH-sponsored events that award points for the Ranking Nacional or form part of the Copa Chile; the same page links to a section headed Controles Selectivos.[6] Its results section and events page sit alongside a news service; on 5 October 2026 it reported Chile’s participation in the Campeonato Panamericano Máster de Ciclismo de Pista y Ruta, in Tarija, 4–11 October 2026.[3][7]

Who are its members?

The federation is built on affiliated clubs, which its institutional page calls “clubes socios”, and their athletes.[4] Its home page states that clubs must hold current legal personality (“personalidad jurídica vigente”) and refers to its statutes and a Reglamento de Incorporación de Clubes for admitting new clubs.[3] Individual members are licence holders: riders, coaches, mechanics and judges, who become federated members through the annual UCI licence.[6]
