What is the World Sailing Rankings?
World Sailing's official world rankings, published separately for each recognised class — the Olympic classes and a long list of others — from results at ranked regattas over a rolling period.[1]
What does it cover?
Class-by-class rankings for men, women and mixed events, plus youth rankings, drawn from world and continental championships and the ranked regatta circuit.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because sailing is a class-based sport with no single overall standing: a ranking is only meaningful within a class, and the federation's list is the only authoritative source that presents it that way. National selection for the Games leans on it heavily.[1] [2]
