What is the World Athletics database?
The athlete and results database at worldathletics.org is the official register of the sport: profiles for every internationally active athlete, complete results, seasonal and all-time top lists, ratified records, and the official World Rankings.[1] [2]
What does it provide?
Athlete pages with career results and progression; world, area and national records; all-time and seasonal lists in every event; the points-based World Rankings that drive championship qualification; and certified course and label information for road racing.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because athletics is measured objectively, the federation's own database is the definitive citation for any athlete's marks, rankings and records — federation-grade data, publicly accessible and printable.[1]
