What is the United World Wrestling database?

United World Wrestling publishes an open, athlete-by-athlete record of international wrestling — every bout at every UWW-sanctioned event, in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling, at senior, U23, U20 and U17 level.[1]

What does it cover?

Results, brackets and athlete profiles; Ranking Series points and the world rankings built from them; and the seeding and Olympic qualification standings that the federation derives from those rankings.[1] [2]

Why does it matter?

Because it is one of the most complete official athlete records in Olympic sport: every international result a wrestler has, verifiable in the governing body's own database rather than reconstructed from press reports.[1] [2]
