What is Ultiworld?
Ultiworld is the only full-time professional newsroom covering ultimate, founded on 1 July 2012 and run from Brooklyn as a subscription-supported news, video and streaming operation with around twenty staff writers and editors plus a European desk.[1] [2]
What does it cover?
USA Ultimate's club, college and youth divisions; the semi-professional leagues; European ultimate; and WFDF international events including the World Ultimate Club Championships — plus a large archive of full-game video. It runs disc golf as a separate vertical.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because of a clean division of labour worth stating plainly: WFDF and USA Ultimate hold the official results; Ultiworld holds the narrative record and the independent rankings. Its Power Rankings are editorially produced and separate from USA Ultimate's algorithmic ones, and are the most-cited ordering of teams in the sport — but they are not a governing-body ranking, and are given here as the outlet's own ordering.[1] [2]
