What is WFDF?

The World Flying Disc Federation, founded in 1985 and IOC-recognized, governs ultimate and the other disc sports across more than 100 member associations — running the World Ultimate Championships, club worlds and the sport's World Games participation.[1] [2]

Why does it matter?

Because WFDF has managed something unusual: taking a sport to IOC recognition and world-championship level without abandoning self-refereeing — the Spirit of the Game remains codified in its rules.[2] [3]
