What is Sportall?
Sportall is a Georgian-language sports news site published at sportall.ge. Its own pages describe it as სპორტის №1 ონლაინ სივრცე საქართველოში and state that it offers the fastest-updated sports and transfer news, analysis, interviews, tables and statistics from European championships. That is the site's description of itself, carried here attributed and not adopted.[1]
No owner, publisher, legal entity or founding date is given on the pages of the site read for this page, and an about page and a contact page were both looked for and returned nothing.[1]
One documented relationship places the site. The Georgian news agency Interpressnews, საინფორმაციო სააგენტო „ინტერპრესნიუსი“, runs a sport heading in its own navigation and links that heading out to sportall.ge rather than to a section of its own site.[3] That is a link published by the agency; it is not a statement of ownership by either party, and none was retrieved.
What does Sportall cover?
The site's own section navigation covers football, basketball, wrestling, tennis, rugby, Formula 1 and mixed martial arts, and runs further sections for cycling, gymnastics, swimming, chess, weightlifting and combat sports.[1]
Its own description of what it publishes names transfer news, analysis, interviews, tournament tables and statistics from European championships alongside daily domestic coverage.[1]
That breadth distinguishes it from the single-sport titles ranked beside it. On the TOP.GE sport listing read for this page, the entries immediately below it include a football-only site, a betting operator's sport pages and several club-supporter sites devoted to individual foreign clubs; the listing is a category of Georgian sport sites rather than a set of comparable publishers.[2]
The coverage sits in a market the European Journalism Centre's Media Landscapes report describes as one where print readership is declining and online consumption is rising, where the advertising market was 73.98m Georgian lari in 2017, and where a 2017 National Democratic Institute poll it cites put 72 per cent of respondents as getting news primarily via television.[5]
How large is Sportall's audience?
No audited measurement of the site's audience could be retrieved. The figure that exists is a traffic counter's, and it is a single day's reading.
TOP.GE, a Georgian site-ranking counter, listed sportall.ge first in its sport category when that page was read on 23 September 2026, with 20,896 hits and 10,105 unique visitors. The page states that its statistics are generated from the previous day, so both numbers are one day's figures and not a period average.[2] On the same listing, footballnews.ge was second with 17,032 hits and 9,823 unique visitors, a betting operator's sport pages third with 11,821 hits and 7,281 unique visitors, belive.ge fourth with 9,236 hits and 7,789 unique visitors, goal.ge fifth with 7,658 and 5,257, isport.ge sixth with 6,514 and 4,231, and lelo.ge seventh with 7,208 hits and 3,628 unique visitors. The ordering on that page is not by either of the two columns it prints.[2]
A traffic counter is not an audited audience currency. For Georgian television the currency cited in the Media Landscapes report is TV MR Ge; no equivalent audited currency for Georgian online publishing was retrieved for this page.[5]
Since when has Sportall existed?
No founding date for the site could be established. The site's own pages read for this page carry no founding year, no copyright range and no about or contact page that states one.[1]
Nothing in the Interpressnews navigation that links to the site dates the relationship.[3] No regulator's register entry for the site was retrieved: the Georgian National Communications Commission's published material covers broadcasters, their conduct and their financial reporting rather than online publishers.[4]
Why does Sportall matter in Georgia's sport?
Its place on this list rests on two documented things rather than on a characterisation: its first position in TOP.GE's sport category on the day that page was read, with the figures given above, and the news agency Interpressnews pointing its own sport heading at the site.[2][3]
The monitoring context is reported here in the monitor's own words. Reporters Without Borders placed Georgia 135th of 180 countries in its 2026 World Press Freedom Index with a score of 40.77, and writes under its media-landscape heading that “the media landscape is diverse and, at the same time, highly politically polarised”. The same profile records that independent media depend heavily on Western donors and that “new restrictions on foreign funding have sharply worsened the financial sustainability of independent media outlets”.[6] Neither sentence is addressed to this site.
