What is the ICC Rankings?
The International Cricket Council's official rankings for teams and individual players, published separately for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket, and for men and women.[1]
What does it cover?
Team rankings in each format, plus batting, bowling and all-rounder rankings for individuals, calculated on a published points system weighted by opposition strength and recency.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because they carry consequences: ICC event qualification and seeding are tied to ranking cut-offs on specified dates, so a ranking position in cricket is an administrative fact as much as a descriptive one.[1] [2]
