What is the FIE Rankings?
The official rankings of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime, published for each of the six weapons — men's and women's foil, épée and sabre — plus team rankings by nation.[1]
What does it cover?
Senior individual and team rankings drawn from the World Cup and Grand Prix circuit and the World Championships, alongside junior and cadet lists and the Olympic qualification rankings.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because fencing's international season is a ranking circuit: seeding at every competition and both the individual and team routes to the Games are decided by position on these lists.[1] [2]
