What are the PSA World Championships?

The PSA World Championships are squash's premier individual title. The 2026 edition, staged before the Giza pyramids, produced an all-Egyptian night: Mostafa Asal took a second straight men's crown over Youssef Ibrahim, and Amina Orfi beat Nour ElSherbini to become — at 18 years and 10 months — the youngest women's world champion in history.[1] [2]

Why do they matter?

A world title is squash's defining honor — the roll runs from Jahangir and Jansher Khan through Nicol David to Egypt's current generation — and the championship's ranking points reset the tour's hierarchy each season.[2] [3]
