What is PGA TOUR Americas?

PGA TOUR Americas is the PGA TOUR’s developmental circuit two tiers below the PGA TOUR itself, feeding the Korn Ferry Tour. It began play in 2024 when the PGA TOUR combined two of its international tours, PGA TOUR Canada — the former Canadian Tour, PGA TOUR Canada from 2012 and the Mackenzie Tour from 2015 to 2021 — and PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, founded in 2012. Its points list carried the Fortinet Cup name in 2024 and 2025.[1] [5] [6] [7]

How does it work?

The 2026 season has 15 tournaments in nine countries from April to October: a Latin America Swing of six events in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia from 16 April to 14 June; a North America Swing of eight events in Kansas, Minnesota and Canada from 25 June to 20 September; and the Dominican Republic Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank at PGA Ocean’s 4, Playa Nueva Romana, on 15–18 October 2026. The top ten on the final points list earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2027 and a USD 15,000 Pathways Player Achievement Grant, and three wins in a season bring immediate promotion under the Three-Victory Promotion.[1] [2] [3]

Since when does it exist?

Johnny Keefer won the inaugural Fortinet Cup in 2024 with 2,022 points and went straight on to win the Korn Ferry Tour points list in 2025 — the pathway working exactly as designed. Michael Brennan won the 2025 Fortinet Cup with 2,534 points, having already used the Three-Victory Promotion to reach the Korn Ferry Tour, and Jay Card III won the 2025 Tour Championship at Morgan Creek in Surrey, British Columbia. The predecessor tours each sent their top five to the Korn Ferry Tour, the money-list winner fully exempt and the next four with conditional status.[3] [5] [6] [7]

Why does it matter?

It is the PGA TOUR’s own entry-level professional circuit for the Americas — owned and run by the major tour, with a published rule that turns a top-ten finish into Korn Ferry Tour status. For a Latin American professional in particular, it is the tour on which a PGA TOUR career now begins, and a points-list position on it is a measurable statement of standing.[1] [4]
