What is World Archery?
World Archery is the sport's world governing body — founded in 1931 as FITA, headquartered in Lausanne, with 165 member associations across target, field, indoor, 3D and para archery.[1] [2]
What does it govern?
The rules and equipment standards; the World Archery Championships and the Hyundai Archery World Cup with its Final; world rankings and ratified world records; Olympic and Paralympic archery, including compound's LA28 debut.[2] [3]
Why does it matter?
Rankings, records and Olympic quota places all run through World Archery — a compact, fully published credential system for a sport measured to the millimetre.[2] [3]
