What is United Soccer Coaches?

United Soccer Coaches is the professional association of American soccer coaches — founded in 1941 as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and renamed in 2017 — with more than 30,000 members, the largest soccer coaches organization in the world.[1]

What does it do?

It publishes the national college rankings across NCAA divisions, NAIA and junior colleges; names the All-America teams at every level — honors dating to the 1940s; presents national coach- and player-of-the-year awards; and stages the annual United Soccer Coaches Convention, the largest gathering of soccer coaches anywhere.[1][2]

Why does it matter?

Its rankings and All-America selections are the standard third-party measures of American college soccer — the credentials that document a college player's national standing.[1][2]
