What is the FSS?

The Fudbalski savez Srbije (FSS), the Football Association of Serbia, is the national association for football in Serbia. It describes itself as coordinating football activity across Serbian territory through a structure of regional, district, territorial, city and municipal associations.[5] Its site presents its national teams across age groups and formats, its competitions and its regulations and documents.[4]

What does the FSS govern or do?

The FSS selects Serbia’s national teams in several age groups and formats, including futsal.[4] It registers clubs, players, coaches and referees: it reports 3,087 registered clubs, 110,339 registered players, 4,901 licensed coaches and 4,032 registered referees, playing in 365 competitive leagues (as published in October 2026).[5]

When was the FSS founded and where is it based?

UEFA gives 1919 as the association’s founding year, when it was established as the Yugoslav Football Association, and records that Yugoslavia played its first international, against Czechoslovakia, at the Antwerp Olympic Games on 28 August 1920.[1] The association’s own history page traces its national team from Yugoslavia through the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to Serbia; UEFA dates Serbia’s declaration as an independent state to 2006.[1][6]

Its address is Terazije 35, Belgrade.[4]

How is the FSS recognised?

FIFA. FIFA’s directory of member associations lists the Football Association of Serbia under the confederation UEFA, with Dragan Džajić as president and fss.rs as its website.[2] UEFA gives its FIFA affiliation as 1921.[1]

UEFA. UEFA gives the association’s affiliation as 1954 and lists Serbia among its 55 member associations, with Branko Radujko as general secretary since 2024.[1][3]

What does the FSS organise?

The FSS states that it organises the domestic leagues, including the Mozzart Bet Super Liga and the First League for men, youth leagues from under-15 to under-21, women’s competitions including the women’s Super Liga, and futsal leagues for men and women.[4][5] Its competitions section also carries youth futsal leagues. In all, the association counts 365 competitive leagues under its structure.[4][5]

Who are its members?

The FSS lists five regional football associations as its members: the FS Vojvodine, the FS Beograda, the FSR Zapadna Srbija (Western Serbia), the FSR Istočna Srbija (Eastern Serbia) and the FS Kosova i Metohije. Beneath them it counts 17 district associations, 8 territorial associations, 5 city associations and 102 municipal football associations (as published in October 2026).[5] Its registered base comprises 3,087 clubs and 110,339 players.[5]
