What is the CAJ?
The Confederación Argentina de Judo (CAJ) is the national body for judo in Argentina. It describes itself as the “Entidad rectora del judo formativo, olímpico y paralímpico en la República Argentina.”[2] Its home-page banner reads “Entidad Rectora Oficial • Afiliada IJF, CPJ & COA”.[2] The International Judo Federation lists it as Argentina’s member, the “Confederacion Argentina de Judo”, with Oscar Cassinerio as president and judoargentina.org as its website.[1]
What does the CAJ govern or do?
The confederation’s site carries a national ranking (“Ranking Nacional”), a national competition calendar (“Calendario Nacional”), tournament rules and an online athlete record accessed by login.[2] It prepares the national team: its technical secretariat (Secretaría Técnica CAJ) reported on 24 May 2026 a training camp of the senior squad at the CeNARD ahead of the 2026 South American Grand Prix.[3] Its site names the support of the Ente Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (ENARD) and of the Secretaría de Turismo, Ambiente y Deportes de la Nación.[2]
When was the CAJ founded and where is it based?
The IJF lists the confederation’s address as Andres Lamas 3121, 5009 Córdoba, with the telephone number +543514825005.[1] Its home page refers to judo in “las 24 provincias” and gives the figure “+25” for its provincial federations (Federaciones Provinciales).[2]
How is the CAJ recognised?
