What is the BSS?
The Biciklistički savez Srbije (BSS) is the national federation for cycling in Serbia.[3] The European Cycling Union (UEC) lists it as the “Cycling Federation of Serbia”, with Dušan Gojić at its head and Luka Rokvic as general secretary.[2]
The federation’s site displays the logos of, and links to, the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Serbia, the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS), the Sports Association of Serbia, the UCI, the UEC and the Balkan Cycling Union.[3]
What does the BSS govern or do?
National team. In October 2026 the federation published the national team’s line-up for the Trka kroz Srbiju, and its news covered the 2026 European road championships in Slovenia.[3]
Calendar and cups. It publishes a 2026 calendar and reports on national series such as the Serbian MTB Cup (“MTB Kup Srbije”).[3]
Governance. Its governing bodies are the president, a vice-president, a management board (Upravni odbor) on which the president sits, and a supervisory board (Nadzorni odbor).[5]
When was the BSS founded and where is it based?
The federation states that the “Biciklistički savez Srbije osnovan je 18. septembra 1948. godine”.[4] Its history page also records an earlier body, a Serbian cycling union (Srpski biciklistički savez) founded on 18 December 1939, and the founding of the “Prvo srpsko velosipedsko društvo” on 23 December 1884, on the initiative of citizens of Belgrade.[4] The UEC lists the federation at Terazije 35, Belgrade.[2]
How is the BSS recognised?
European Cycling Union. The UEC states that 51 European federations are affiliated to it and lists Serbia (SRB) among them, linking to the profile of the Cycling Federation of Serbia.[1][2] It describes itself as forming “a liaison between the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the national federations which it represents in this instance”, and states: “Every european federation member of the UCI is automatically member of the UEC.”[1]
National bodies. The federation presents the Ministry of Sport, the Olympic Committee of Serbia and the Sports Association of Serbia among its partners, together with the UCI, the UEC and the Balkan Cycling Union.[3]
What does the BSS organise?
Trka kroz Srbiju. The federation’s history page states that the first two editions of the race “Kroz Srbiju” were held in 1939 and 1940 and that it was revived in 1963.[4] Its site announced the 65th edition for 16–18 October 2026.[3]
Other races. Its October 2026 news covered the Vojvodina race and Vojvodina women’s race on 3 and 4 October 2026, and the Novi Pazar Panorama 2026 round of the Serbian MTB Cup.[3]
Who are its members?
The federation publishes a register of its members (“Članovi BSS”), giving each club or organisation’s name, town, address and status. Members are listed in two groups, regular (“Redovan”) and associated (“Pridružen”), and include cycling clubs, sports associations and the regional Biciklistički savez Beograda.[6]
