What is the America East Conference?
America East is a Division I, non-football conference of public and research universities across New England and the Northeast.[1] [2]
Members and sports
Members include Vermont, Albany, Maine, New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMBC — author of the famous 16-over-1 NCAA tournament upset — UMass Lowell, NJIT and Bryant. Swimming & diving is among its championships.[1]
Since when does it exist?
Founded in 1979 (as ECAC North); the America East name dates to 1996.[1]
