What is Strongman Archives?

Strongman Archives — “Strongman Contest Results and Statistics” — is the sport’s results database: contests, athletes, records, an events calendar and video, run by a small team funded by donations. Bill Henderson handles the site; contest and athlete data are credited to Éloi Fournier and a contributor styled “StrongmanHistorian”; Jordan Florchinger supports the server. It is free, ad-free and donation-funded.[1] [5]

What does it cover?

Strongman contests back to the 1970s — the index lists 49 editions of World’s Strongest Man, 24 of the Arnold Strongman Classic, more than 200 Strongman Champions League events and 80 IFSA Grand Prix — with placings, event results and athlete histories, plus a news feed of “results have been posted” items during the season, most recently by Rachel Park.[2] [4]

What is its reach and standing?

No audience figure exists. Its standing is functional: contests held on 5–6 September 2026 were posted within days, and the site invites corrections openly. Strongman has no independent news outlet, so this database is where the sport’s record actually lives.[1] [3]

Since when?

The site has no about or history page and does not state a founding date; the earliest reachable news pagination is 2024, though the contest data runs back decades. Treat the founding year as unknown.[2] [4]

Why does it matter in strongman?

Because a strongman placing has no other public record. Promoters publish results inconsistently and the sport’s several federations do not share a database, so for a career record — where an athlete finished, against whom, in which year — this is the source, and it says so about itself.[1] [2]
