What is СПОРТ.UA?

СПОРТ.UA is a Ukrainian general sports news and results site published at sport.ua. It runs a Ukrainian-language edition and a Russian-language edition of the same material, and combines news items with live match coverage, standings and match reports. When the site was read for this page it carried items timestamped through 21 and into 22 September 2026.[1]

The site publishes no statement of its publisher, its founding year or its ownership on the pages read for this page, and none is asserted here.[1] It identifies itself as СПОРТ.UA and maintains accounts on Facebook, Telegram, YouTube and Instagram. That absence of a disclosure statement is a fact about the available evidence, and it is the reason the ownership question is left open below rather than answered.

What does СПОРТ.UA cover?

Football is the largest part of the output, and the site's football section is built around the domestic pyramid rather than around the top division alone: it carries results and tables for the Premier League, the First League, the Second League and the Cup in one place. Read on 21 September 2026, its Premier League section showed the 2026/27 season running from 31 July 2026 to 5 June 2027, with 52 of 240 matches played and the seventh round in progress.[2]

Beyond football the site carries boxing, tennis, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, mixed martial arts, biathlon, handball, futsal, motorsport, chess, snooker, badminton, wrestling, weightlifting, cycling, water sports, skiing and esports.[1]

Its league coverage runs alongside the league's own arrangements rather than inside them: the Ukrainian Premier League produces every match into its own pool and said in July 2026 that it intended to move to an exclusive rights model from the winter of 2027.[3]

How large is СПОРТ.UA's audience?

No audited readership figure for СПОРТ.UA could be retrieved for this page, and none is given here.

There is no published audited circulation currency for online sports titles in Ukraine. The audited currency that does exist covers television and was then the Nielsen panel, whose limits are documented: a trade report of 9 September 2026 records that the panel then in use covered only settlements of 50,000 inhabitants and above, and that the market was discussing who should conduct and fund a replacement, participants citing cost, technology and what one of them called the realities of electricity supply and of population displacement.[4]

Estimates produced by commercial traffic tools are not audited measurement and are not presented here as though they were. The site publishes no audience claim of its own either, so there is nothing to attribute: what can be stated about its scale is the extent of its published output, set out in the sections above and below.[1]

Since when has СПОРТ.UA existed?

The site states no founding year on its own pages, and no date of establishment for СПОРТ.UA could be retrieved from a source this page was able to fetch. That is a limitation of the evidence rather than a statement about the outlet.[1]

What can be dated is continuity of publication. Read on 21 September 2026 the site carried same-day and next-day items across its sections, and its Ukrainian Premier League section held a complete fixture list and table for a season that had begun on 31 July 2026 and runs to 5 June 2027.[2]

The period since March 2022 has been one in which Ukrainian national television news operated under a unified arrangement introduced by Presidential Decree No. 152/2022 of 19 March 2022; that instrument is directed at national television channels and does not govern independent online titles.[5]

Why does СПОРТ.UA matter in Ukraine's sport?

Its function is record-keeping across the whole league pyramid. Carrying the Premier League, the First League, the Second League and the Cup in a single structured section makes it one of the places where the full domestic competition calendar is published together, rather than only the division with a broadcast contract.[2]

Its second function is breadth outside football. The same site carries the Olympic sports in which Ukraine competes — among them boxing, wrestling, weightlifting, biathlon and chess — alongside the commercial sports, so that a reader following a Ukrainian athlete outside football has a dated domestic source for results.[1]

Its third is availability in two languages from the same newsroom, which keeps the same results record reachable for Ukrainian-reading and Russian-reading audiences without either version carrying a different set of figures.[1] The wider question of who may sell and carry match coverage is dealt with at broadcast rights.[3]
