What is Sport Klub?

Sport Klub publishes in Serbia at sportklub.rs, in Latin script, with editions for Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro, and carries a footer line reading „Sport Klub 2026. Sva prava zadržana”.[1] Its impressum names the publisher as United Media Sarl at 6, rue Jean Monnet, 2180 Luxembourg, with VAT number LU26944138, names Ralf Manthey as program director, Carlo Rock and Renata Lorenz as directors and Nemanja Simeunović as production director, and describes Sport Klub as part of United Media, which the page characterises as „vodeće medijske grupacije u jugoistočnoj Evropi”.[2] That last phrase is the publisher's description of itself and is reported here as such, not adopted. The corporate position around the Sport klub television brand changed in 2025: on 2 April 2025 the rival channel group Arena Sport reported that „Kompanija Telekom Srbija uspešno je realizovala kupovinu određenih prava, licenci i ostale imovine povezane sa Sport klub kanalima” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.[3] That report is the acquiring side's own account of the transaction, dated; the sportklub.rs portal continued to carry the United Media impressum as at the date this page was compiled.[2]

What does Sport Klub cover?

The portal's own section structure covers football, taking in the Serbian Super liga and the major European leagues; basketball across the EuroLeague, the NBA and the ABA League; tennis, including the Grand Slam tournaments; and motor sport including Formula 1 and MotoGP, alongside other sports.[1] It emphasises live match streaming and real-time results in its own description of the service.[1] The multi-market editions mean a single story can appear across six national front pages, which is a structural feature of the operation rather than a claim about reach.[1] Because the television rights and the portal are now held on different sides of the April 2025 transaction as that transaction was reported,[3] a reader should treat the channel schedule and the portal's editorial output as two separate things and check the date on any claim that links them.

How large is Sport Klub's audience?

No audited audience figure for Sport Klub, in Serbia or across its editions, could be retrieved for this page. The recognised currency for television in Serbia is peoplemeter measurement, with weekly viewing tables in the Serbian trade press credited to Nielsen Audience Measurement;[4] the same trade press described the Serbian operation of AGB Nielsen Media Research, in an article of 24 February 2011, as running TAM peoplemeter measurement, without stating a panel size.[5] The weekly tables retrieved here published their channel figures as images rather than text, so no share figure is reproduced.[4] For the website, Serbia has no audited online currency that could be retrieved, and traffic estimators such as Similarweb are not audited measurement and are not used here. The impressum itself publishes no circulation, reach or subscriber figure.[2] This is a limitation of the available evidence, stated so that no unsourced number is implied.

Since when has Sport Klub existed?

No founding or launch date for Sport Klub could be confirmed from a primary source retrieved for this page. The impressum carries the publisher's corporate identity, its Luxembourg address and VAT number and its editorial officers, but no year of establishment;[2] the front page carries only a 2026 copyright line.[1] What can be dated is the change in the ownership of the channel rights: the acquiring group reported the completed purchase on 2 April 2025.[3] Founded, renamed and acquired are three different dates, and only the third is fixed here.

Why does Sport Klub matter in Serbia's sport?

Its documented position is as a multi-market sports publisher under a single Luxembourg-registered publisher[2] whose television brand was the subject of a reported cross-group transaction in April 2025.[3] That combination — a regional publisher, a national portal and a channel brand whose rights moved to a telecommunications operator — is exactly the configuration the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom's Media Pluralism Monitor for Serbia 2026 addresses when it scores market plurality at 74 per cent, a high risk, and states that „current regulations do not stop hidden ownership or undisclosed links between media owners and political actors” and that „the lack of comprehensive financial information on specific horizontal markets such as television, internet, print and radio serious obstacle to achieving transparency in media ownership”.[6] The monitor's overall risk score for Serbia in that edition is 74 per cent.[6] Those are the monitor's findings about the Serbian market, quoted and attributed, and they are not findings about this publisher.
