What is the Racing Post?
The Racing Post is the daily paper of record for British and Irish horse racing, published since 1986, and simultaneously the sport's standard form database — results, past performances, and the Racing Post Ratings used across the industry.[1]
What does it cover?
Flat and jump racing in Britain and Ireland in full, with coverage of the major international meetings, plus bloodstock sales, breeding records and greyhound racing.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because in racing the form book is the record: a horse's, jockey's or trainer's career is documented in past performances, and the Racing Post archive is the version the sport itself uses.[1] [2]
