What is Olympics.com?
Olympics.com is the International Olympic Committee's own publishing platform — the official home of the Olympic Games, the Winter Games and the Youth Olympic Games. It carries results, medal tables, athlete profiles, explainers on how each sport's qualification system works, and the IOC's own announcements, published in around a dozen languages.[1]
What does it cover?
Every sport on the Olympic and Paralympic-adjacent programme, summer and winter, plus the qualification cycles that run between Games. Its athlete pages and event explainers are among the few places where a federation's qualification system is set out in plain language for a general reader.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because it is a primary source: what appears there is the IOC's own account of results, programmes and decisions. For anything to do with Olympic status, qualification routes or official medal records it is the first place to check, ahead of any secondary report.[1] [2]
