What is Monaco Info?

Monaco Info is a Monegasque television news service. The legal notice of its site opens: “Le présent site, ci-après dénommé « Monaco Info » est exploitée par l'Etat de Monaco, Direction de la Communication”. It names as director of publication Geneviève Berti, director of the Direction de la Communication, and gives Monaco Cloud S.A.M. as the host.[1]

The Institut audiovisuel de Monaco, which keeps the channel's archive, describes it as a television channel launched in November 1995 under the name Monaco à la une, and states: “Rebaptisée Monaco Info en 2003, la chaîne diffuse ses journaux sur le web via son site monacoinfo.com.”[2] No entry for Monaco Info in a regulator's register, and no report on it from a media monitoring body, was retrieved; the operator is given as the site's own legal notice states it.

What does Monaco Info cover?

Monaco Info is a general news service; sport is one category of its site. As read on 26 September 2026, the sport category listed ten items dated from 6 May to 3 July 2026. Four of their titles name the Monaco Grand Prix, including qualifying on 6 June and the race on 7 June; the others covered Charles Leclerc and Ferrari, AS Monaco's football season on 18 May, the Monaco E-Prix on 13 May, the military world sport gathering in Monaco on 6 May, Team Malizia's sailing on 29 May, and the promotion of the Vuelta's start in Monaco on 3 July 2026.[3]

Its home page carried items dated 25 September 2026, on the Monaco Yacht Show and other events.[4] The latest item in the sport category, as read, is dated 3 July 2026; the service was publishing on other subjects in September 2026.

How large is Monaco Info's audience?

No audience figure for Monaco Info from an audience-measurement body was retrieved, and none was found on its site.[1][4] The Institut audiovisuel de Monaco states that its Monaco Info collection holds “plus de 50 000 sujets, numérisés et indexés”; that is a measure of the archive, not of the audience.[2]

Since when has Monaco Info existed?

The Institut audiovisuel de Monaco dates the channel to November 1995, as Monaco à la une, and the name Monaco Info to 2003.[2] Monaco Hebdo, on 13 January 2025, also dated Monaco Info to 1995.[6]

The planned merger, in dated steps. Monaco Hebdo reported on 18 December 2024 that a new public television service would be launched on 1 September 2025 in place of Monaco Info and TV Monaco.[5] On 13 January 2025 it wrote: “La disparition de TV Monaco et de Monaco Info, lancée en 1995, est actée.”[6] On 22 January 2026 it reported that an audit launched in June 2025 had been received and quoted the Minister of State, Christophe Mirmand: “Ces propositions seront livrées fin janvier 2026”.[7] On 24 September 2026 it reported: “Conformément à l'orientation fixée par le prince en 2025, considérant qu'il fallait mutualiser les moyens mobilisés, le projet de fusion entre TVMonaco et Monaco Info avance.” It added: “Des décisions doivent être annoncées dans les prochaines semaines, pour une mise en œuvre effective en 2027.”[8]

Monaco Hebdo's reports of January and September 2026 describe the merger as still in progress. On 26 September 2026 Monaco Info's site was operated by the Direction de la Communication, per its legal notice, and was publishing.[1][4]

Why does Monaco Info matter in Monaco's sport?

It is the television news service that the State's own communication department operates, and in 2026 its sport category covered the Grand Prix weekend day by day, from the practice sessions of 5 June to the race of 7 June, as well as AS Monaco and the Vuelta's start in the Principality.[1][3]

Monaco Hebdo reported on 24 September 2026 that the project to merge it with TVMonaco was advancing, with decisions to be announced in the following weeks and implementation planned for 2027.[8] Any statement of its operator is dated to the legal notice as read on 26 September 2026.[1]
