What are the Longines Rankings?
The Longines Rankings are the FEI's monthly world rankings of show jumping — the sport's equivalent of tennis's ATP rankings, published since the early 1990s and carrying the Longines name since 2013.[1] [2]
How do they work?
Riders earn ranking points for placings in designated classes at FEI events — the bigger the class (up to 5-star Grands Prix and championships), the more points — counted over a rolling window and re-published monthly on the FEI Database.[2]
Why do they matter?
The rankings are the sport's objective ladder — and a gatekeeper: the Longines Global Champions Tour builds its start lists from the top 30, and championship qualification and seeding lean on ranking position. A rider's ranking history is verifiable, dated, third-party evidence of standing in the sport.[1] [2]
