What is Klix.ba?
Klix.ba is a news portal based in Sarajevo. Its impressum names the publisher as “InterSoft d.o.o. Sarajevo” and states “Osnivači i uprava: Dario Šimić, Mario Šimić”.[1] It gives Semir Hambo as editor-in-chief and lists “Nermin Kustura (urednik)” for sport; those are the positions on 24 September 2026. The impressum as retrieved gives no street address.[1]
Its sport coverage sits on a path of its own domain, klix.ba/sport.[2] The Media Ownership Monitor Bosnia and Herzegovina 2023, run by BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina, includes Klix.ba among the ten news websites in its online sample. It lists InterSoft among the media-owning companies it analysed.[3][4]
What does Klix.ba cover?
The sport section is divided into Nogomet, Košarka, Tenis, Rukomet, Formula 1, Skijanje, Atletika, Borilački sportovi, Plivanje and Ostali sportovi.[2]
On 24 September 2026 its sport headlines mixed domestic interest and international news. One read: “Zbog ovog su ga i doveli: Tarik Muharemović u Top 5 Premier lige u najvažnijem parametru za odbranu”. Others covered the Spanish, German and French national teams, a dispute between Real Madrid and the president of La Liga, and an NBA trade.[2]
The about page states that the portal “ima profesionalnu redakciju po uzoru na tradicionalne medije, dopisnike u svim većim gradovima BiH”; that is its own description.[5] No list of the site's sports correspondents, or of events it covers on site, was retrieved. No broadcast or streaming rights held by the site were retrieved, and none is asserted here. What is documented of its sport is the section's structure and the headlines it carried on the build date.
How large is Klix.ba's audience?
No audited online audience figure for Klix.ba, and no current web-audit ranking for the country, was retrieved from an audience-measurement body. The statement that exists comes from a monitoring body quoting a research agency.
The Media Ownership Monitor 2023 states, on its page of online outlets: “Prema podacima agencije IPSOS, Klix i Avaz imaju daleko najveći doseg u periodu od marta 2022. do marta 2023. godine.”[3] That is the monitor's reading of IPSOS data, for a period ending three and a half years before the build date. It gives no figure for Klix and none for its sport section.
The same monitor rates the online market as concentrated, with a top-four share of 67.7 per cent: “Audience concentration in Internet (horizontal)”.[6] That is a figure for the market, not for this site.
The site's own about page makes a larger claim: “Prema DotMetricsu Klix.ba bilježi i oko 15 miliona posjeta te 68 miliona pageviewsa (učitavanja) iz BiH, samo na web verzijama, bez aplikacija.” It also states that Klix.ba is “i najposjećenija web stranica uopće s mjesečnom posjetom više od 550 hiljada stvarnih korisnika iz cijele Bosne i Hercegovine”. It adds an age breakdown in which visitors aged 25 to 34 make up 34 per cent and those aged 35 to 44 make up 26 per cent. The page gives no date or period for any of these figures, and no DotMetrics publication was retrieved to check them. They are the site's claims, attributed and not adopted.[5]
Since when has Klix.ba existed?
On that account, the portal began in October 2000 under another name and has carried the name Klix.ba since April 2012.
The impressum's line “Copyright 2000-2026 InterSoft d.o.o. Sarajevo” runs from the same year.[1] Both are the publisher's statements, and no independent source for either date was retrieved, so neither is adopted.
No launch date for the sport section could be retrieved, and none is given.
Why does Klix.ba matter in Bosnia and Herzegovina's sport?
On the Media Ownership Monitor's reading of IPSOS data, Klix and Avaz had “daleko najveći doseg” among online media from March 2022 to March 2023.[3] That is the monitor's statement, not a measured figure published here.
Reporters Without Borders describes a market with “about 600 news websites”. The sentence reads in full: “The country has a very fragmented media landscape with about 40 TV channels, 150 radio stations, several daily newspapers and news agencies, almost 200 magazines and about 600 news websites.”[7]
Klix.ba's sport section runs from football and basketball to skiing, athletics and swimming. It publishes under an owner and editors it names on its own impressum.[2][1]
