What is Klan Kosova?
Klan Kosova is a private television channel based in Prishtina. Its site carries the copyright line “© 2026 Televizioni Klan Kosova · Të gjitha të drejtat e rezervuara” and gives its address as Ish Fabrika e Amortizatorëve, Prishtinë. It describes its offer as “Lajme, sport, TV dhe entertainment nga Kosova”.[1]
The channel describes itself as follows: “Televizioni 'Klan Kosova' u themelua në dhjetor 2008 dhe është një ndër kanalet më të ndjekura në Kosovë e diasporë.”[1] That is the channel's own statement, and no measurement body is named for it.
The Media Ownership Monitor Kosovo, run by BIRN Kosovo and the Global Media Registry, lists Klan Kosova Sh.p.k. with Kushtrim Gojani as individual owner of 100%, in an entry last updated on 12 December 2023. It records that ownership passed on 29 May 2020 to KGO Media Investments, owned by Kushtrim Gojani, and lists earlier transfers on 14 August 2013, on 15 January 2014 and at the end of November 2015. It lists the company's media as TV Klan Kosova, the klankosova.tv portal and Radio KlanKosova FM.[8] No ownership record later than that update was retrieved.
What does Klan Kosova cover?
Its sport page, as retrieved on 24 September 2026, is divided into Futboll, Basketboll, ART Sport, Auto Sport, Sportet Luftarake and Sporte të tjera.[2] The site names three sport programmes: Sports Show, ART Sport and Auto Sport.[1]
On 24 September 2026 the sport page carried, near the top, an item on the national team's match at the Fadil Vokrri stadium that day. It also carried athletics and international football.[2]
The channel shares national-team rights with the operator Artmotion. Artmotion announced on 10 August 2026: “Cikli i ri i UEFA Nations League dhe kualifikimet për Kampionatin Evropian "EURO 2028" do të transmetohen ekskluzivisht në Artmotion dhe Klan Kosova.”[3] That is Artmotion's announcement; the rights term and the seller are not stated in it.
How large is Klan Kosova's audience?
No measured audience figure for the channel exists to report. The Media Ownership Monitor Kosovo states: “There is no agency providing public data on media audience measurements in Kosovo.”[9] The channel's own statement that it is “një ndër kanalet më të ndjekura në Kosovë e diasporë” names no source.[1]
Reporters Without Borders writes in its 2026 entry for Kosovo that “The highly concentrated TV sector is dominated by private channels based in Pristina, the capital”. It does not name Klan Kosova.[4]
Since when has Klan Kosova existed?
The channel states that it was founded in December 2008.[1] The Media Ownership Monitor Kosovo gives a second account: “Klan Kosova është themeluar nga Aleksandër Fragaj, me shtetësi nga Shqipëria, në vitin 2008.” It records that the channel began broadcasting on 17 February 2009.[8] The two accounts agree on the year and neither gives a day of founding.
Why does Klan Kosova matter in Kosovo's sport?
It is one of two outlets that Artmotion named on 10 August 2026 as the exclusive carriers of the national team's Nations League and EURO 2028 qualifying matches.[3]
Its licence is regulated. Article 21 of Law No. 04/L-44 provides that “Për të ushtruar transmetim në Kosovë sipas kushteve të këtij ligji kërkohet licenca për transmetim, të cilën e lëshon KPM-ja.”[5] Radio Evropa e Lirë reported on 16 June 2023 that the Independent Media Commission had given the channel 30 days to complete the business documentation required at the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (ARBK). It quoted the commission's chair, Jeton Mehmeti: “Rekomandon që në afat prej 30 ditëve nga pranimi i këtij vendimi të plotësojë dokumentacionin e nevojshëm për mbajtjen e licencës së transmetimit konform rregullores për ofruesit e shërbimeve mediave”.[6] Shqiptarja.com reported on 3 August 2023 that the Commercial Court had, on 2 August 2023, approved Klan Kosova's request to postpone execution of two business-registration decisions, one by ARBK's director general and one by its complaints commission.[7] Each report is a single secondary source, and the final outcome could not be established from the regulator's or the court's own records.
