What is the IWF Results Database?
The official results system of the International Weightlifting Federation, recording every attempt — made and missed — at every IWF-sanctioned competition, with snatch, clean & jerk and total results and the world records ratified from them.[1]
What does it cover?
The World Championships, continental championships, the Grand Prix and World Cup events that make up the Olympic qualification calendar, and the junior and youth championships beneath them.[1] [2]
Why does it matter?
Because weightlifting's Olympic qualification requires a minimum number of valid totals across specified periods — a rule written into the system after lifters banked appearances without lifting. The database is where those totals are counted.[1] [2]
