What is Innebandymagazinet?

Innebandymagazinet is Sweden’s floorball publication — a print magazine from 1997, a website since 20 January 2000 and a daily news site since the mid-2000s. Its legal publisher is Digital Sportsmedia i Norden AB, c/o Better Collective, Stockholm; the editor-in-chief is Henrik Jansson and the founder, Magnus Fredriksson, still reports for it.[1] [2] [4]

What does it cover?

Floorball only, and all of it: the men’s and women’s Swedish Super League, Allsvenskan, the junior leagues, the national teams, the SM play-offs, the Swedish Cup and the Champions Cup, with a stated commitment to equal men’s and women’s coverage. Daily news, and an archive of more than 70,000 articles since 2005.[1] [4]

What is its reach and standing?

Better Collective, announcing its purchase on 15 August 2023, put the site at “around 500,000 monthly visits”; the previous owner’s 2020 release gave 1.5 million unique visitors in 2019. The site calls itself the largest floorball media in Sweden and the world. Ownership is the caveat: Better Collective is a listed sports-betting affiliate group, and the editorial policy requires sponsored texts to carry clear labelling.[1] [2] [3] [4]

Since when?

First print issue 1997; online from 20 January 2000; part of Everysport Media Group from 2018; sold with SvenskaFans, Hockeysverige and Fotbolldirekt to Better Collective for €3.7 million in August 2023.[2] [3] [4]

Why does it matter in floorball?

Because floorball’s strongest league is Swedish and this is the only daily outlet that covers it from the Super League down to juniors. For a player’s Swedish career it is the reference; the ownership line belongs in any citation.[1] [3]
