What is Bondia?

Bondia is an Andorran newspaper published in Catalan. The legal notice on its site names “LA VEU DEL POBLE, S.A” as the owner, with the number “A-706064-J” and an address in La Massana; the site's footer gives an office at Callaueta 4, Andorra la Vella.^[3][1] No company-register entry and no report by a media-ownership or press-freedom monitor covering Bondia could be retrieved, so the ownership is given as the paper's own legal notice states it.

The same notice describes the paper as “el primer diari independent i gratuït d'Andorra”, and the site describes itself as “El diari andorrà gratuït i independent més llegit”.^[3][1] Both are the paper's own descriptions.

What does Bondia cover?

The site's news menu has sections for society, economy, politics, crime, culture and sport, beside opinion, galleries and an archive. Its home page, as retrieved on 26 September 2026, carried items dated 25 September 2026 and linked the front page of the print edition for that day.^[1]

The sport section, as retrieved on 26 September 2026, carried items dated 24 September 2026, among them “Inici de lliga del MoraBanc”, on the basketball club's start in its league; “La Supercopa ja té finalistes”; “La FAC crea un un fons comú de garantia antidopatge”, printed so; an item on Xavi Folguera at a congress of the CEV, the European volleyball confederation; and “Els U23, a Corralco”.^[2]

Two of those items, both signed V. D. and dated 24 September 2026, show the range. One opens: “El BC MoraBanc obre demà (19.30 hores) la Lliga ACB amb la visita del Monbus Obradoiro, recentment ascendit.”^[5] The other, on domestic futsal, opens: “La Supercopa ENGAS de futbol sala ja té finalistes per demà a les 18.30 hores a Els Serradells”, and reports Sideco FC Encamp's 4–1 semi-final win over CF Esperança and Ranger's 13–1 win over FC Madriu.^[6]

Bondia also reports on sports policy. On 13 November 2025 its sport section carried Víctor Duaso's report that “La Llei de l'esport, per fi, viu una renovació després que el Consell General aprovés la modificació que incorpora per primera vegada l'obligatorietat de la igualitat de gènere en els òrgans esportius”.^[4]
