What is the T100 Triathlon World Tour?
The T100 is professional triathlon's newest tier: a circuit of 100 km races (2/80/18) created by the Professional Triathletes Organisation, launched in January 2024, whose season standings crown a champion recognized by World Triathlon as the official long-distance world title.[1] [2]
How does it work and who competes?
The world's best long-course professionals race as contracted athletes across the season — nine races on the 2026 world championship calendar — with wildcards adding local and rising stars, and a season-ending final deciding the title (Dubai hosted the inaugural 2024 final). Age-group racing runs alongside the pro events.[3] [4]
Why does it matter?
The T100 gave long-distance triathlon what it never had: an official, federation-recognized world championship season with contracted fields — a T100 contract or podium is by construction an elite-professional credential, complementary to Kona's one-day crown.[2] [4]
