What is CADDA?
CADDA (Confederación Argentina de Deportes Acuáticos) is the national governing body of aquatic sports in Argentina, uniting the country's provincial federations across swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming and open water.[1] [2]
What does CADDA govern?
As the recognized national federation, it holds authority over the aquatic disciplines in Argentina: sanctioning competition, maintaining national records and rankings, licensing athletes and clubs, and applying World Aquatics technical rules domestically.[1]
How does CADDA fit into international aquatics?
The federation is a member of World Aquatics and competes within the Americas' structure through Panam Aquatics and its zone confederation CONSANAT. Argentine swimmers and open-water specialists are regulars on South American podiums and at world level, and the federation regularly hosts CONSANAT competition.[1]
National teams and athlete pathway
CADDA selects and enters Argentina's national aquatic teams for the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan American and South American Games, and the South American Championships, and runs the national championships that drive selection.[1] [2]
